Hypnotherapy for IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

Irritable Bowel SyndromeIBS is a common complaint from which 1 in 5 people in the UK suffer at some point in their life. Anyone can suffer from it, although it most commonly begins in the teenage and early adult years and is twice as likely in women than men. For many sufferers it has a profound impact on their daily lives.

The symptoms can be variable and include:

  • intermittent abdominal pain (colic/spasms)
  • bloating
  • urgency to go to the toilet (especially in the morning)
  • feeling that bowels have not completely emptied after going the toilet
  • constipation or diarrhoea (or switching between both)
  • nausea
  • tiredness
  • backache
  • poor appetite
  • belching
  • heartburn.

The IBS hypnotherapy programme

This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.Ann is extensively trained in effective methods of IBS hypnotherapy and has developed a unique programme designed to provide maximum effectiveness for dealing with your IBS.

What does the programme involve?

The plan involves you:

  • attending 6 sessions of around 50 minutes over a period of 12 weeks,  and
  • listening daily to a 25-35 minute hypnotherapy recording.

Both of these aspects of the programme contribute to its success.

NOTE: It is important that you have received a medical diagnosis of Irritable Bowel Syndrome before receiving hypnotherapy for IBS management.  This is because it is vital that there is no risk that your symptoms are the result of an undiagnosed medical condition which requires clinical investigation.

Therefore, Ann does not offer the IBS treatment programmes to anyone suffering symptoms for which no medical diagnosis has yet been received.

What does the IBS hypnotherapy programme cost?

If paid for per session, the programme costs £400 (£75 for initial session then £65 per session). If paid for in advance, the programme costs £360 (saving 10%).
